Solar
Solar Cable H1Z2Z2-K
Feb 4, 2026
For a more sustainable installation
Finland has set ambitious climate targets to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and accelerate the transition to renewable energy. The country has decided to become climate neutral as early as 2035, which places high demands on the rapid expansion of the energy system and increased use of fossil-free energy.
Solar energy plays an increasingly important role in this transition, and the market for solar power systems is steadily growing. This increases the need for reliable and efficient solar cables that can ensure stable installations and support Finland’s climate and environmental goals throughout the entire lifespan of the solar power system.

A brighter shadow
One disadvantage of solar energy is components sourced from all corners of the world—and their long transport routes. The sun may be the brightest shining star, but in this case no shadow should fall on those behind the scenes. Nexans’ new solar cable H1Z2Z2-K is a high-quality alternative: an easy-to-handle DC cable produced in the nearby forests of Grimsås. Together with Nexans’ complete range for solar power systems, it makes the installation more sustainable—and the downside a little brighter.
H1Z2Z2-K. Very hard to pronounce. Incredibly easy to use.
